Reading Ambassadors

Our Reading Ambassadors play an important role in helping to build a love of reading across our school. Chosen for their enthusiasm and passion for books, they encourage others to discover new stories, authors, and genres. Reading Ambassadors support younger children during reading activities, recommend books, and help celebrate reading events. They are positive role models who show that reading is not only a key skill, but something to enjoy and share.

Throughout the year, our Reading Ambassadors lead on initiatives that inspire a reading culture within Wygate Park Academy. They help organise book-related events, promote the school library, and share ideas to keep reading exciting and accessible for everyone. By representing pupil voice in reading, they help shape the way we enjoy and celebrate books as a school community. Their dedication ensures that reading remains at the heart of learning, sparking imagination, curiosity, and confidence in all children.
