A warm welcome to Wygate Park Academy

Welcome to Wygate Park Academy, an inclusive school where we welcome and recognise every child being a unique individual and celebrate what it is to be part of a multicultural and diverse school community.

Our passion is to ensure that every child reaches their full potential and they leave Wygate with a lifelong love of learning, whilst nurturing and fostering the interpersonal and social skills, as well as building resilience to help children become creative, critical thinkers, reflective of the modern world we live in.

Wygate Park Academy Pre-school Nursery

Wygate Park Academy is exploring the possibility of opening a pre-school nursery (children 3&4 years old) from September 2025. As part of this process, we believe it is crucial to engage with our local community and gather your valuable input.

The proposed Nursery would be operated solely by the school and be located on the school site, with the capacity to provide 29 full time places.

To ensure that the proposed nursery meets the needs and expectations of our community, we will be conducting a consultation with local stakeholders. This will include a survey designed to collect your feedback and suggestions.

We will begin a consultation period which will begin on Friday 29th November 2024 and run for 4 weeks until Friday 27th December 2024.

How can I respond to this consultation?

Please complete the following survey by clicking on the link below:

Wygate Park Academy Nursery Proposal Consultation Survey

Or a paper copy of the survey can be collected from the Office and then returned once completed.

All feedback will be anonymous and completion of the survey does not commit you to sending your child either to the Nursery or to Wygate Park Academy.

Please note this is currently a consultation process and no final decision upon whether a nursery will be opened, has yet been made.

On conclusion of the consultation all responses received will be collated and presented to the Voyage Education Partnership Trust Board in January 2025 for full consideration. The Trust (as the admissions authority) will then determine if Wygate Park Academy would formally apply to the DfE to open a pre-school nursery. The outcome of the consultation will be posted on the Academy’s website.

If you would like to speak in person to someone about the proposals please email: enquiries@wygateparkacademy.net and a meeting with either Mrs Devine or Dr Early can be arranged.

Kind regards,

Dr C. Early
