House Captains

Our House Captains play a key leadership role within Wygate Park Academy, representing their house teams with pride and enthusiasm. Chosen for their commitment, positive attitude and sense of responsibility, they motivate others, encourage teamwork and celebrate achievements. House Captains support younger pupils, assist during events, and help build a strong sense of belonging across school. On open days, they take pride in showing parents and new families around, speaking confidently and enthusiastically about life at Wygate Park Academy. They also wear their house captain hoodies with pride, showing their dedication to their role!

Throughout the year, House Captains organise inter-house competitions, promote fair play and celebrate successes in sports, learning and behaviour. They help lead assemblies, support reward initiatives and lead their houses at whole-school events. By doing so, they develop leadership skills, confidence and the ability to work collaboratively. House Captains ensure every child is included and inspired, creating a positive, supportive atmosphere where all pupils can shine and be proud of their achievements.
