Year 4 Homework
Homework will be set on a Friday and is due in the following Wednesday.
The homework is always fully explained to the children and often recaps things they have been learning in class. Homework will be set online this year on the LBQ website, this is a site that is familiar to the children having used it plenty of times before. Log-ins will be sent home with children, if these are misplaced please don't hesitate to ask for a new one.

Year 5 Homework

Year 6 Homework
Homework will be set on a Friday and is due in the following Friday.
The homework is always fully explained to the children. If you or your child have any questions, we will be happy to run through the work with you.
In Year 6, homework is extremely important to consolidate learning but also to help prepare them for the next step to Year 7. Independence and taking ownership of this will be promoted greatly and I appreciate the same message being delivered at home in regards to meeting deadlines and planning their time accordingly.
The children will be given some online tasks to complete and a paper portion of homework alongside their Spellings and Reading expectations. They will be given something to cover learning that is being completed in the classroom. This is more in line with what they may receive at Secondary School and Year 6 is a great time to get them into good homework habits!
A homework sheet will be sent home for Spelling focusing on the Spelling Rule for that week. We will no longer be doing a weekly test, however these spellings will be assessed over the curriculum areas throughout the term.
