History

At Wygate Park Academy, we endeavour to teach History and historical enquiry within a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum. Pupils leave Wygate with a clear understanding of the History of our country, the wider world, differing societies, key historical figures and epochs and how they have impacted their lives today. Furthermore, the children will question historical evidence and comprehend that history can be interpret by different people at different times. The study of historical evidence and the exploration of their local area will develop a deep understanding of the rich History of their locality and heritage.
