Trip to Woodside Wildlife Park
As part of our topic Paws, Claws and Whiskers, Year 1 went on a trip to Woodside Wildlife Park. During our trip we learnt lots about white wolves, reptiles, capybaras (the largest rodent in the world), tigers and owls. We got to watch the white wolves, tigers and lynx be fed and learnt about the food groups these animals belong in. In the afternoon, we were very brave and some of us held a snake and touched a blue tongued lizard. We also really impressed the staff at the park with our knowledge of animals and found out some really interesting facts. On return to school, we wrote an information page about the animals we saw and turned the pages into our own information text about animals.
