Firemen Visit The Oaks Class

The children were very excited when the firefighters came to visit! They all had the opportunity to sit in the fire engine, listen to the loud siren, see the blue lights flashing and use the hose! The firefighters taught the children how to help yourself if your clothes set on fire… STOP, DROP & ROLL and the children had the chance to practise this in the classroom. They were then told about the special uniform and had a race with one of the fire fighters to see how quickly they could put the uniform on. They even managed to beat the fireman!
