Do Cows Drink Milk?

To kick start our new topic: ‘Do cows drink milk?’ the reception children visited Sacrewell Farm! They had a lovely day, finding our way around the farm seeing all the different animals & old machinery they had from the past which the children were interested in. They were particularly excited to see the new and very small piglets & were very keen to have a go at milking the plastic cow ‘Daisy’!

Trip to Woodside Wildlife Park

As part of our topic Paws, Claws and Whiskers, Year 1 went on a trip to Woodside Wildlife Park. During our trip we learnt lots about white wolves, reptiles, capybaras (the largest rodent in the world), tigers and owls. We got to watch the white wolves, tigers and lynx be fed and learnt about the food groups these animals belong in.
